Sensory Input

During motor activities, an individual uses, at various times, most of the sensory information available.  The contributions of various forms of sensory information in leading to the successful completion of an activity will vary depending on the activity, but afferent inputs from the eyes, inner ear, muscle spindles, joints, and skin are very important.

Different individuals may, in fact, perform identical motor tasks while relying on different sensory inputs to various degrees.  Depending on the activity ans sense involved, some individuals can adapt and successfully complete motor tasks even though deprived of a usually important form of sensory input.

For some too much information confuses individuals, distracting them from relevant inputs!

No worries, we have you covered!

You don't have to be a WN'er!
You don't have to win La Ruta 2X.

And you can bet Pua is aware of this!

Congrats!

I think this sums it up…

Kevin Everett can make the watts even without shoes!

I did this once while working with Hunter Allen of Training Peaks in FL., to prove a point for him and a guy he was coaching!

This 2013 late season in Pro Tri, Boise's KE has been putting the hurt on his rivals!

Eddie O'Dea breaks his old Trans North GA. record by 9 hours!

What WN has learned from our new science is profound!

Knowing something is one thing, teaching it is another!

The big question is how do you teach someone, feel it, etc... How do you teach a person to improve their pedal stroke, their focus?  It takes great thought, demanding deep study with tools that make a difference!

We have the tool!

The Power of Chivalry!

WN has been working with Pua Mata (Sho-Air/Cannondale/WN) for a long time!  Pua has chivalry!

Chivalry was originally conceived of as an aristocratic warrior code - the term derives from the French term chevalerie, meaning horse soldiery-involving, gallantry, & individual training &; service to others!

We work with a lot of pros, the list is long and their horsemanship is all important to us!

This little gal had a 10 min lead over 2nd place.

If any one think's that life is always easy, they be wrong!  Life is full of ups and downs, good breaks and bad breaks i.e. Pua's right fibula early season. She was very down, but she came back.

Courage is the ability to confront fear, pain, danger, uncertainty, or intimidation.  Physical courage is in the face of physical pain, hardship, yet come back!

Respect cannot always be seen or observed by actions, but for those who practice chivalry, the outward display of respect is refreshing!  Respect is both given and received!

This is Pua's 2nd "Stars-and-Stripes" US Marathon National Championship!

Jeremiah Bishop (Sho-Air Cannondale) Leader in the Pro XCT series has been in the game a long time!

We see them come and we see them go!  This is not an easy job, the pay is poor  and it takes years to do well, and above all, it takes balance!  The burn out rate is real!

For example, Jeremiah Bishop didn't have his best day, he took 5th at US Marathon National Championships,  the final day of the Ride Sun Valley Festival in Sun Valley, Idaho.  JB had flats, he took out a lady on the course and etc....

In any job, if you do it for a living, you can burn out!  So being in the balance game, we know how important it is to do something else, like leaning to balance in a river, even with bike shoes on!  Did you  know that the bike cleats give great grip to river rock!

Bishop is committed to his job, but also has learned that there are other things that can make you happy, like taking time to get in the river!

BTW - Jeremiah was not fishing!  I had his rod all set up to catch, and he did!

The key to life and success is balance!

Sun Valley Bike Festival "Lots of rainbows & lots of WN'ers"

USA Marathon Nats ended the week long Sun Valley Bike Festival.

Where can you go and land 60 rainbows in a day and watch the mtb race at the same time?

There are those who fish, then there are those who catch!

There was a lot of catching Stars & Strips from WN'ers!

Congrats to them all!

Flavia Oliveira AKA "Popcorn" does well at Brazilian National Championships!

WN started working with Flavia Oliveira when she came to Idaho to race the 2012 Exergy Tour.
She decided to allow WN to do her bike fitting and teach her the many pedaling styles!

At only 95 pounds, standing on her tip toes up to 5'3", I started naming her "Popcorn".
Knowing Flavia is from Brazil and knowing popcorn was 1st discovered thousands of years ago by the people living in what is now Peru, I started teaching her how to use her natural resources.

Popcorn expands from a small kernel and puffs up when heated!
I like popcorn, and I don't put butter on it!

Proof in Flavia is not in the pudding, it's in Flavia's pop!

Amanda Carey takes GC at Trans-Sylvania MTB "7 Days Tough"

I grew up in Brevard,Transylvania County, a place of great woods, and trails, located in beautiful Western North Carolina and is called the "Land of Waterfalls"

For most people, Transylvania is a stereotype,
a fictional place to air dark attitudes, an alleged place of

Dracula Castle in Romania!

Just as Pennsylvania means "Penn's Woods"
and Sylvania means a kind of lightbulb that burns out fairly quickly,
Transylvania means literally "through the woods" or "beyond the woods."

Amanda Carey

know's her way through both!

Both in Penn 2011-13 and my a neck-of-the woods in NC!

WN Fast Freddie Rodriguez takes 2013 USA Men's Nats Road Race at age 39 for the 4th time! Makes history!

WN has been making history for some time.  You might say this is not our first rodeo! For Freddie Rodriguez, a long time pro to work with us is a big deal.

Freddie is "WN Fast" & it's in the books!

Freddie Rodriguez (Jelly Belly-Kenda) won the men’s road race title at the Volkswagen USA Cycling Professional Road and Time Trial National Championships on Monday in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The WN  was Rodriguez’s record 4th  U.S.A. professional road title and came in his 1st. race since returning to the pro ranks with Jelly Belly earlier in May.

13 years on from his first championship, taken in Philadelphia when he was racing for the Mapei team, and 9 years since his last, Rodriguez, 39, became the oldest US Pro champion in race history in addition to taking the record for US Pro championships, having broken his previous tie with George Hincapie.

Dare to Care?

Cycling didn't just start about 15 years ago and ended in 2012.  Yes it has had a very large, a very large black eye!  Holding one of the most famous instances of cheating!  But the sport, the fan base is lager than the cheats!  I know we have all been impacted by the immoral way of achieving one's goal.  It's a message conveyed or a lesson to be learned from the story!

Is cycling going through a taboo?  Ten years "star struck" of being captivated by a famous person or by the fame itself?  Is the cycling sport bigger than a single star?  Breaking a taboo is usually considered objectionable by society in general, not merely a subset of a culture.  No question, most recently, the cycling road game aroused great distaste!  We need to lick our wounds and break the taboo!  There are more starts in the universe, game is not called LA.

Sports are governed by both customs and explicit rules regarding acts which are permitted and forbidden at the event and away from it. Forbidden acts frequently include performance-enhancing drug taking (doping), using equipment that does not conform to the rules i.e. last week at the Pan Am games by or altering the condition of equipment during play, and deliberate harassment or injury to competitors.

The sport will go on, only if people pay attention to it!

It's a new game in cycling!  There are new faces, but its still great Entertainment and it is something that holds the attention and interest of an audience,  something that gives pleasure and delight.

Do you have the audacity (the soul) to break the taboo, to go so far as; as of sticking one's neck outgo out on a limb to be a cycling fan?  Pick the church you like, pick the team you like, pick a player, but pick!

Go to WN Precision's Face Book  (WN Precision) and help build the fan base, learn the players, share your take, tell your storytelling!

Even the entertainment show "The Voice" has new singers each year!   BTW -  Any show is much better if you follow it from start to end each season!

Anyone keeping up with the continuum? Are you watching the Giro d'Italia?

It takes time to make history, to see trends in a sport.

No question, times have changed i.e. last 10 years, but cycling will be a continuum! WN is a fan of the sport, it has had a black eye and today work with some who have history past and present. Helping them uncover more, more with each pedal stroke!

For example, "Fast Freddie" Rodriguez due to his reputation as a sprint specialist, who also raced clean. Rodriguez is 3X National Road Race Champion, and 4X Tour de Georgia stage winner. Rodriguez came up through the ranks of the U.S. National Team (1992–1994) in the same 'class' as a series of other professional riders, including: Bobby Julich, Chann McRae, George Hincapie, Jeff Evanshine, Kevin Livingston, and Lance Armstrong. Other notable Palmarès include, winning Stage 9 of the 2004 Giro d'Italia,

Since 1999, WN Precision has been making history, in 2001 we had 5 USA Champions alone.  We work hard everyday on the subject of cycling and we have some pretty big names in our data that use our info.  No matter what class, what race, it's good to advance the things that make a difference. As in any that takes years!  It's not just about the fit, the sizzle, it's about learning how to use your body best, then sharing that with older pros and new pros!

Sure you can just throw a leg over the bike and ride, that's not what is about.  It's about learning how to do something well.  Why in the world, would you want to put forth a poor performance?  It's the unseen things that make a difference and you have to learn them, that's what makes sport fun!

Great Performances!

WN has over 36,000 fits in our data base, many are Nat and World champions and in (tt, track, mtb, cx, xc, fun).   It has taken us years to learn what makes a difference, using costly science to myth-bust.  Below are just a few names of a very long list & we aren't allowed to use their names!
